Originally from Wisconsin, Carmen Kolz has traveled the U.S. and Europe, creating opportunities, new businesses and, works of art. She thrives on adventure and is a life-long learner who continues to evolve into new outlets. Whilst part of a disabled veterans group, she formally began her art career. 

Her works are derived from a variety of mediums to include epoxy resin, paper quilling, collage, mosaics and mixed media. Currently, she has exhibits in several Albuquerque, NM venues - Blue Portal, Off Center and in a short term rental.

Her works depict our Earth companions and the feelings they emote: hearts as symbols of love; pet portraits as reflections of our love; color laying out the grittiness of war; resin swirls mimicking Earths greatest natural wonders; or, as in this piece, language defining and questioning the changing faces of femininity.
